20 undergraduates led by Associate Professor Zhang Xin from the School of Pharmacy of Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) paid a visit to our school on June 23. Vice Dean Di Bin along with faculty representatives from departments warmly received the guests and held a meeting for further communication.
First of all, Vice Dean Di Bin expressed a warm welcome to the visit of the team from the School of Pharmacy of M.U.S.T., and showed them around the laboratories and platforms of our school’s laboratory building. Then, at the meeting, Vice Dean Di Bin made a detailed introduction about the history, faculty, teaching and research, as well as university-enterprise cooperation and international exchange of our school. Later, Professor Yang Peng from the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Professor Liu Dongfei from the Department of Pharmacy, Professor Xiao Yibei from the Department of Pharmacology and Professor Sun Xiaolian from the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis introduced the faculty and research capacity of each department respectively together with their research interests and achievements. These professors explained complex ideas in simple ways and the lectures were interesting and fascinating, and the students from M.U.S.T were completely engaged. During the Q&A time, the students asked some questions about their research interests and on-campus life. Professors answered them one by one from their personal experience.
The team from M.U.S.T was invited to participate in one-week The 8th Chinese Pharmacy Summer Camp for Macau Students. This visit not only enhance mutual understanding between the faculty and students on both sides, but also further deepens the international exchange and cooperation of our school.
