On Nov. 23, the symposium of “the Academic Week of China Pharmaceutical University” was successfully held by School of Pharmacy in the Conference Room 122 of the Laboratory Building on Jiangning Campus in a combination of online and offline mode. Prof. Liu Jianping, the nominee of The 2nd Hansoh Outstanding Graduate Student Mentor (Team) was the host.
In the symposium, Prof. Quan Dan Yi, Chairman and Director of Jiangsu Jizui Institute of New Drug Formulation Technology, gave a wonderful report entitled The Latest R&D Direction of the Global Pharmaceutical Industry and the Trend of Improved New Drugs in China, which focused on the opportunities and challenges faced by the new drug R&D industry experiencing the great reform. Professor Xu Hua'e, Director of the Department of Pharmacy, School of Pharmacy, Nanjing Medical University, gave a remarkable report on Construction and Evaluation of Clinical-Need-Centered Intelligent Drug Delivery System , which addressed the current problems in clinical oncology therapies. Professor Xu’s report helped to interpret the design of anti-tumor nano drug delivery system and gave the students and teachers a more clear and systematic understanding of intelligent delivery system for tumor therapy.
In the Q&A time, students and faculty members had in-depth discussions on hot topics such as the clinical application of molecular targeted therapies and the constraint factors of China's formulation technology compared with the international levels. It created an engaging atmosphere there.
This session was close to academic hotspots and scientific needs, which had a positive effect on creating a good atmosphere, building an academic platform as well as improving the capacity of scientific research and innovation.
